Abstract
ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study is to determine is an influence of investment
knowledge, investment motivation, minimum investment capital, and investment risk on
the interest of STIE Surakarta students to invest in the capital market. The population
in this study is active students of the accounting and management study program class
of 2019 Surakarta College of Economics as many as 518 students and a sample of 84
students obtained with the slovin formula. This study used multiple linear regression
analysis method with the analysis tool used is SPSS 23. The results proved that
investment knowledge, minimum investment capital, and investment risk did not affect
the interest of STIE Surakarta students to invest in the capital market. Meanwhile,
investment motivation has a positive and significant effect on the interest of STIE
Surakarta students in the capital market.
